A big warm hello to you!

Hi, I’m Laura!

Firstly thank you for taking the time to check out Yo and what we have to offer, hope you leave with some good vibes…and of course the intention to book a class!

Just wanted to tell you a little bit about me, I’m Laura, 35 years old, married to an incredible guy and have 3 (totally bonkers) wonderful children aged 5, 7 and 9. It was during my first pregnancy that I discovered a true passion for yoga.

I practiced yoga regularly throughout all of my pregnancies, as well as beyond, now enjoying practice most days of the week. Keeping me grounded, keeping me sane! Yoga makes my heart sing. It makes me feel good and that is a gift I love to share when teaching.

Having found yoga during pregnancy so beneficial to me, I wanted to be able to help other women experience this. I therefore completed my pregnancy yoga training at YogaMama in Putney several years ago, in between pregnancies. I am also qualified in Postnatal Yoga, as well as Baby Massage and Baby Yoga.

As the years went by and my own yoga practice became more dynamic, I decided to do my full yoga teacher training, completing 200hrs Power Yoga training with Jason Pooley through Ebb and Flow in Farnham.

Truly finding joy in teaching, I have completed further training in restorative yoga, vinyasa sequencing and more recently children’s yoga.

“Yoga gives me a feeling of freedom, both physically and mentally. I feel blessed and honoured to hold space for others and share the benefits I discovered during my three pregnancies and beyond.”

I also work as a paediatric nurse, which I have done so for many years, working at Great Ormond Street Hospital and more recently and closer to home, at the Royal Surrey.

Such a humbling and precious role I have at the hospital, to help children and families at their most vulnerable states. To then leave that, pop my yoga leggings on and be surrounded by joy within our yoga community is simply magic. Sharing yoga, making a positive impact on many lives, it’s bliss.

Yoga gives me a feeling of freedom, both physically and mentally. Life is so busy, yet when I’m on the mat, I’m present with my breath, with the way my body feels and moves, I have space, clarity but also strength and empowerment. Stillness and grace, but also passion and fire. Yoga helps me to keep calm, stay fit and healthy. Yoga makes me better at life.
